Goaltending Private Lessons
The SNG Approach
Here at SNG, we place a strong emphasis on skating, situational reads, and puckhandling. Skating is the foundation on which we as goaltenders build our game; strong edgework allows us to beat plays early and on our feet, placing us in the best possible position to make saves. Similarly, a skilled puckhandler can exert his/her influence on the game by breaking up forechecks, facilitating quick breakouts, and creating scoring chances. With this in mind, we set aside time each lesson to work on the following areas:
Lesson Criteria
Fundamental Edgework
Speed Development
Puckhandling: Technical Skill and Tactical Reads
Fundamental Save Selections
Situational Reads
Net Play: RVH, VH, and overlap
